The reason? well, The continuous deployment in Stressful situations without proper medical health care/lack of promotional avenues and without Family support. The Remedy- started Yoga and Art of Livin g Classes and the results are encouraging. But the GOI had approved setting up of a Medical College for CPMFs as a long term solution to recruit doctors to treat the troops (now 700 vacancies of doctors). The GOI soon to sanction one Heptarambulance (Helicopter Ambulance) to treat the troops.
THIS IS SIMPLY AMAZING AND SURPRISING.
The Diseases and numbers are confounding. Are the standard medical tests not done on the recruits before taking them into CRPF? Is there no medical treatment available to them in the units? Set up a Medical College now for CPMFs now in order to recruit MOs (700 posts)? Why and How? How many troop patients can be attended by this Heptarambulance? How are the troops going to get promotional avenues? How are the families going to stay with and support them? The Govt did not approve the OROP scheme to a dozen ex-servicemen with an outlay of 400-500 cr outlay on the non-feasible financial/administrative grounds? are some searching questions.
